What is Downtown Eaton, Inc.? Downtown Eaton Inc is a non-profit membership organization, managed entirely by volunteers, that works to improve our downtown. Our membership consists of individuals and businesses that believe in a community approach to creating an attractive and viable downtown environment. We strive to strengthen our community by utilizing a foundation of historical preservation, downtown restoration and organized activities that will draw citizens downtown. We believe that the heart of a community lies in its downtown. During the past decade, our downtown has made remarkable progress in becoming a better, more livable city for those who live and work in the area. Still, there is much work to be done. Because we are a non-profit organization, the level of support that we receive from our members has a very direct impact on the contribution that we are able to have in the community. We depend upon our members and volunteers who create a pool of resources from which ideas, energy and changes are developed. Through the development of a logo representing the entire area, and a consistent image campaign, our goal is for the public to think of Downtown Eaton as a destination. DEI members can add a link to their own company's website for free as part of their membership. All domain name fees and monthly charges for the DEI website are incurred by Downtown Eaton, Inc. How to participate Come lend your hand towards making Downtown Eaton thrive. We welcome volunteers and committee participants. We meet on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Eaton City Building. We encourage you to join our membership.
